Bream occurs as general term for the total of coinage of freshwater and marine fish, mainly, but not thoroughly, drawn from either a genera Abramis, Acanthopagrus, Argyrops, Blicca, Brama, Etelis, Gymnocranius, Lethrinus, Nemipterus, Rhabdosargus and Scolopsis. Although mintage from either tons one genera come known as "Bream", the term doesn't indicate the degree of relatedness between these metal money, like a family or other higher taxa would. Fish termed "bream" tend to become narrow, deep incarnate mintage. A title occurs as derivation of the Middle English word Breme, of Old French origin.
